May be some 3D view of globe or something will be very nice and useful option :)
Sokratekk IP: 83.138.136.* | 2005-08-26 15:11 UTC Id: #434
The new constellation-feature is really great! would be fantastic if you could add it as a gfx behind the radar view. another suggestion: a world-time-clock as an on-mouse-over function. if the mouse touches a longitude line on the grid at world-view the time is shown in GMT and the time-difference to the actually selected place in hours. so your great program would be come more and more a multi-purpose tool.

Please check Display section of Windows' Control Panel, then if Orbitron screen saver is not present, reinstall Orbitron.

I don't remember seeing the screen saver option on intallation. Should I reinstall or is there an option I can select?
Sebastian Stoff / email IP: 213.25.214.* | 2005-08-25 07:47 UTC Id: #431
Alan, The Screen Saver should work with Orbitron installed on drive you want. Did you choose screen saver option during installation? Please check Windows' Control Panel (Display section) to make sure is Orbitron Screen Saver installed.

Wonderful program Sebastian. I saw it operating on a colleague's computer and thought I had to download it myself. One problem - I can't work out how to make the screen saver mode work. The only conclusion I can come to is that it has to be installed on C: drive. (currently I have it on another partition. Am I missing something else?

Bill, all versions of my software can be easy updated by overwriting older one.

Does 3.70 install over previous versions or do you have to uninstall the older version and install 3.70?

All I can say is WOW!! It's obvious you have put A LOT of time, effort, and planing, into writing such an "AWESOME" tracking program!! My card will be in the mail at my next post office visit:-) Thanks, RoD Virginia, USA

Robino, please update TLE files and find data for Shuttle (STS-114) in visual.txt file.

isn`t it something to let orbitron track space shuttles and other of that stuff?

Thank you so much for the orbitron program. I was glad to see my postcard posted. In the future, I would like to see features similar to Dave Ransom's STSPLUS programs. Ground station circles of visibility and coverage as well as the TDRS circles of coverage are nice to see. The sun and moon data are not really needed in such detail and should be replace by more satelite data, like that seen in STSPLUS. But I am very thankfull to you for creating such a good program. I will look forward to improvements in the future versions!

AleksGT, I'm just note 'true anomaly output' feature on my 'to do' list :)
Sebastian Stoff / email IP: 62.148.68.* | 2005-08-06 20:36 UTC Id: #418
Martin, azimuthes displayed by Orbitron are calculated for 'true north', so you must to recalculate them with geomagnetic declination when using compass.

Hi Sebastian, I would like to know if the acm of the pass is adjusted by local declination or each of us should correct the magnetic declination for the place. Thanks for Orbitron.

Hello Sebastian It would be useful for me to have true anomaly data. Can you set it in addition to mean anomaly [MA] in info panel?
Seba IP: 213.25.214.* | 2005-08-03 10:00 UTC Id: #413
Paul, try 'Data' tab on the right. You can press Shift+F2 to jump there...

First, just sent off your postcard, I am a new user. xltn program, good work. Is there any way to display elevation and range details in realtime / simulation? This would be a very handy feature for planning sat utilitization. Please consider adding this feature in future. Once again, thanx for a wonderful program. |
