Navneeth, please send me your fixed translation. I have plan to make something special for supporting "favourites". Now you can use Save/Load Profile functions. Profile contain information about used TLE files, satellites loaded from them, tracked and active ones. So, I think it can help you.

A suggestion for 3.50... Hi, Once I got the translation part fixed, I have started enjoying this program. The predictions agrees with other sources and is quite detailed. I would like to see a feature in v3.50 wherein the user will be able to select a few satellites that will remain as "favourites". I think it is a bit tiring to select the file and satellite each time to get the predictions and the track on the map. Apart from this, the program does its job very nicely.Keep up the good work! Thanks, Navneeth Madras,India

Well, I've just downloaded the latest version and eager to use it. The only obstacle I have is with the language. How do I translate it...specifically to English (UK). Thanks, Navneeth

You can use WiSP DDE Client as Yeasu driver for Orbitron. You can download it from http://www.laboratoriomederos.com/CX6DD/wispdde/ Please read Orbitron help to get more information.

As you might already know, after 2005 March 31, there will be problems with TLE data source. It seems that www.space-track.org will be the only one source for orbital elements. Space-Track's User Agreement contains the "NO REDISTRIBUTION OF DATA" restriction, so everyone should get user account on www.space-track.org to avoid problem with current TLE after March 2005.

EUDIX: Displaying of ECI (X, Y, Z) is a good idea. I've just note it in my "to do" book :)

Hello everybody. I am completely new to this, but it is fascinating. Can someone give me simple, reasonable instructions for getting up to speed? For example, how to I figure out what satellites are what? How do I locate the ISS? What are some of the best ways to get started in these observations? Thank you

TLE* Also I would like to post this information that I obtained from another site: (2005 January 11): According to the notice posted on the NASA/GSFC OIG web site yesterday (below), they will cease operation on 2005 March 31. CelesTrak will continue to disseminate TLEs until that date, but will be unable to do so starting April 1 (under the terms of US Public Law 108-136). Will this affect Orbitron?

I have the same problem! I reported it to you awhile back. My TFE files are updated every three days.My location is exact. I used a GPS handheld to get the exact coordinates of my location, and the correct altitude. about 40% of my sightings are of by about 10 to 15 minutes. I also have to watch for patterns to determine that the one i'm looking at is the correct one.

Just update your TLE. You can do it by TLE Updater included in Orbitron Setup or you can download TLE manually and place it in {Program Files}\Orbitron\TLE directory.

Orbitron is definately off. On some satellites it is at least 20 minutes behind, and 20 minutes ahead on others. I know this for a fact, because I have to wait for the patterns of three or more satellites to confirm that the times are off. I don't know where the TLE files come from, but they are definately off time wise...
